If you are selling items or services on the net, you understand the value of traffic, if you want to earn from your websites then you should look into text-based ads. Like banner ads, text-based ads are used to advertise your services by putting links into texts. Banner ads are much more annoying to surfers, unlike text-based ads. Once you click on an ad you are redirected to the site of the advertiser.

If you have just built a website to sell items from, be they electronic products or “real” products, you might like to try pay per click search advertising to get the ball rolling on your sales.

It can take some time for your other search engine optimisation tactics, like keywords in your text and backlinks, to kick in on the search engines,  int he meantime you can use pay per click to get customers to your site.

One of the great things about pay per click advertising is that you can use it to guage how well a product is going to do on the market - it’s very useful for market testing - by using just a few keywords, you can work out how well your particular niche translates traffic into actual sales, and find out which keywords are more likely to attract buyers.  This information is invaluable for building a SEO and backlink campaign.

ACS have a great whitepaper available for you to check out with more in depth information on pay per click advertising than I have had time to write about here.  They also have pay per click management services which will be beneficial to the new user and can help optimise your campaign to ensure you get the most bang for you buck.
